Hey, I'm Justin.

I teach OTs and Physios how to prescribe complex wheelchairs. One step at a time.

My experience

I didn't take the normal path

I studied OT. Then I skipped the normal OT job.

I went straight to work for an equipment company.

For over ten years I did one thing. Wheelchairs and seating.

I built chairs. I set them up. I trialled them. I sold them.

More than 1,000 complex clients.

I've sat on both sides of the table. I know how the decision really gets made and how easy it is for the clinician to end up in the passenger seat.

Today I sell no equipment. No supplier pays me. I just teach.

My brain

My brain needs it simple

I used to sit in workshops and think, "Everyone gets this but me."

I took pages of notes. I felt fired up.

Then the next complex chair came along. I did what I always did. I guessed. I hoped someone in the room knew the answer.

Nothing changed.

If you learn something and your behaviour doesn't change, you didn't learn it.

I need to know what to do first. What to do next. Why.

Nobody had built that. So I built it for me. Then I found out lots of clinicians needed it too.

My mission

Clients deserve better. So do the clinicians looking after them.

A wheelchair is a big deal. Someone sits in it all day. Every day.

Clinicians shouldn't have to guess.

  • Clinicians deserve a clear way to decide.
  • Wheelchair users deserve better outcomes.
  • Families deserve equipment that helps.

Complex wheelchair prescription should be an honour. Never a gamble.
